Funeral services for Lela Vivian Olson, 66, of Spencer, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Warner Chapel. Officiating will be De. J. Landon Williams.

Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.

Pallbearers; Joe Scott, Don Veitch, Carlo Andersen, Edwin Sorensen, Donald Schoer, Paul Shearer.

Olson was born April 16, 1916 in Spencer, the daughter of James Carroll and Edyth Jones Thompson. She graduated from Spencer High School and married Carl Olson on September 21, 1938 in Jackson, Minnesota.

During the early years of their marriage, they farmed near Royal and Rossie and in 1951, they moved to Spencer..

She has been the bookkeeper at Jones Transfer for many years and also worked as a ward clerk at the Spencer Hospital.

Olson was a member of the First Christian Church

She died Sunday at the Spencer Hospital

Olson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1968; an infant son; and one brother, Wayne.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Anderson of Spencer; two granddaughters; four brothers, Lee Thompson of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Cecil F. Thompson of Spencer, Carroll Thompson of Norwalk, California and James Thompson of Milford; and one sister, Mrs. Arlene Tielbur.

The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of the service.
