A funeral service for Phyllis O'Clair, 78, of Royal, will be held at 10 a.m., April 22, 2003 at the United Methodist Church in Royal. The Rev. Roger Maize will officiate

Mrs. O'Clair died at Longhouse Residence in Spencer on Thursday, April 17

Casket Bearers; Mickey, Julie and Daniel Davis, Shelby, Adilee, Ryan and Garrett O'Clair, Ricky and Roya White and Amy Durham

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer

Phyllis Alice O'Clair, the daughter of Albert and Ethel Snook Hoffert, was born August 26, 1924 in Mallard. Her childhood years were spent in the communities of Mallard, Linn Grove and Royal, where she received her education, graduating from Royal High School. Following her schooling, she lived in Linn Grove and worked as a hired man for her father

On January 6, 1946, she married Wayne O'Clair in Royal. They moved to a farm near Royal where they farmed for 57 years

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and DAR in Royal

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son

Survivors include her husband; one daughter and her husband, Jill and Rick Davis of Palmer, Nebraska; two sons and their wives; Robby and Kim O'Clair of Livermore, Colorado, Tim and Kris O'Clair of Littleton, Colorado; one daughter in law, Diane O'Clair of Choctowa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Alberta Beck of Spirit Lake; other relatives and friends

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
