March 6, 1991Funeral services for Eugene Edward (Bud) O'Clair will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 8, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Clark Christian will officiate
Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer
Mr. O'Clair died Wednesday, March 6, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Casket Bearers; Dave Crew, Bob Crew, Randy Krukow, Jeff Crew, Jim Meyerdirk, Mark Krukow
Honorary Casket Bearers: Kenneth Krukow, Duane Milton, M.K. (Pee Wee) Gustin, Lawrence Osborn, Richard Johnson, Jack Rose, Bud Galbraith
Military services will be presented by American Legion Post #194, Dickens
Mr. O'Clair, the son of Albert L. and Sadie Simons O'Clair, was born November 23, 1917 in Dickens. His childhood years were spent in Dickens, where he received his early education, graduating from Dickens High School.
He later served with the Army during WWII, from August 5, 1945 to September 27, 1946
He married Ella Mae Reeverts on April 2, 1939, in Spencer. Throughout their married life, they lived in Dickens, where he was a self employed truck driver. He also worked for the Dickens Coop Elevator and as a carpenter, retiring in 1981
He was a member of the Dickens United Methodist Church and the Dickens American Legion. He also served on the school board, city council, was mayor of Dickens, on the council on aging, cubmaster and served on various church boards
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and his twin sister
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae; one daughter and her husband, Shari and David Crew of Spencer; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren
