Lucille Mae Culbertson, 85, of Spencer, died Thursday, September 3 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Assembly of God Church in Spencer with the Rev. Darrell Eichhorn officiating

Casket Bearers; Brad Lillie, Paul Wenli, Ben Norgaard, Michael Lillie, Charles Norgaard, Scott Renard

Honorary Casket Bearers; Hugh Renard, Merle Osterberg, Earl Norgaard, Fred Kellum

Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer

Mrs. Culbertson was born May 18, 1907 in Pierre, South Dakota, the daughter of George and Lenora Dake Heddinger. Her early years were spent near Peterson and Linn Grove, where she received her education. Following her schooling, she worked on the assembly line at Bull Dog Starter for Walter Thomas. With Mr. Thomas help, she took the necessary courses for her to become a secretary at Bull Dog Starter

She married Charles Underwood on August 17, 1928 in Spencer. After their marriage they lived in Spencer. Following his death in 1954, she worked at Ellerbroek's, Scott's store, Montgomery Ward and as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for 15 years.

She married Everett Culbertson on March 23, 1967

Mrs. Culbertson was a member of the Assembly of God Church

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, one brother and one sister

She is survived by three daughter and their husbands, Juanita and Dale Bailey of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Donna Rae and Alvin Norgaard of Spencer and Joanne and Dick Martyn of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one brother, Oreville Lau; and one sister, Eva (Mrs. Dick) Bates, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements
