February 12, 1969Funeral services for LeRoy Crowl, 78 of Spencer, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, from Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Robert M. Bell officiated
Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer
Bearers were nephews of Mr. Crowl
Mr. Crowl died February 12 at Mesa, Arizona after being hospitalized one week
He was born August 15, 1890 to Benjamin and Rosa Kellum Crowl at Cherokee, Iowa
He married to Emma J. Kruse at Spencer, April 3, 1917
He lived his entire life in the Clay County area with the exception of three years in South Dakota. He was a farmer until 1943, when he entered the trucking business for 10 or 12 years
Survivors include his widow, Emma; a son, Donald L. Crowl of Buena Park, Califoria; two daughters, Mrs. Clark (Betty) Chickering of Moneta and Mrs. Alvin (Cleo) Rieck of Ocheyedan; nine grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Clara Zieman of Royal
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Forest and Bert; and one great grandchild
