November 12, 1982Funeral services for Horace C. Craig, 77, of Sun City, Arizona, formerly of Spencer, were held Tuesday, November 16, 1982 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer with the Rev. Manzel Berlin officiating
Pallbearers; Everett Dotson, Dan Schwaller, Duane Gould, Harlan Gouldl, Douglas Sorenson, Charles Gould
Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery at Spencer
Craig, the son of Charlie and Addie Newby Craig, was born September 11, 1905 in Union, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in that community and it was there that he received his early education
Horace was married to Alma Tweet on February 16, 1933 in Canton, South Dakota. They began farming in Lake township and it was in that area that they spent the early years of their marriage. In 1958, Horace retired from farming and moved to Milford. They lived there until moving to Sun City, Arizona in 1972
Mr. Craig passed away on November 12, 1982 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 1 day
He was preceded om death by his parents; 1 son, James; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters
Horace is survived by his wife, Alma of Sun City; 1 son, Charles of Phoenix, Arizona; 2 brothers, Howard of California and Eldon of Spencer; 2 sisters, Nedra Wilson of Milford and Lucille Stoffel of Estherville; 3 grandchildren; other relatives and friends
Arrangements were by Warner Funeral Home at Spencer
