Lillie May Humphrey was born near Sutherland, Iowa, in 1888 and died November 20, 1918, at the state hospital at Cherokee, influenza being the cause of her death.

She leaves to mourn her death four sisters and three brothers. Her parents passed away some time ago, the father on March 27, 1904, and the mother on October 12, 1915. All the sisters and brothers were present at the funeral except Edward Humphrey of St. Paul and Mrs. Mattie Cowan of Pinestone, Minn. The rest of her family are Mrs. Nellie Kirkpatrick of Minneapolis, Mrs. J.C. Blossingham, Minneapolis, Mrs. Bessie Baier, Peterson, Mr. Jesse Humphrey of Hartley and Frank Humphrey of Echo, Minn.

The body was brought to Peterson and a short prayer service was held from the home of Mrs. Bessie Baier and the body laid to rest in Oakland cemetery.
