1986Funeral services for Berniece Lucille Cox, 64, Spencer, who died Tuesday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Robert Cummings will officiate.
Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.
Casket Bearers; Greg Pettiecord, John Spang, Jonathon Spang and Dale Opdahl.
She was born May 19, 1922 in Ruthven, the daughter of William and Orpha Simmons Schuldt. Her childhood years were spent in Ruthven and Spencer where she received her education. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1939.
She was married to Glen L. Cox, September 21, 1946 and they lived in Spencer and Des Moines where Berniece was employed as an operator and clerk for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 26 years.
They returned to the Spencer area in 1978 after her retirement.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Telephone Pioneers.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband; one brother, Dale Schuldt of Oceanside, California; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Pettiecord, Spencer and Mrs. John (Margaret) Spang of Paullina.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
