October 16, 1975Funeral services for Freeman E. Coughenour, 81, of the Floete Apartments in Spencer, will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Gerald F. Lyon will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Section of the North Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Coughenour died October 16 at his home.

Mr. Coughenour was born November 7, 1893 at Sheldon, Illinois, the son of Allen and Margaret Breckenridge Coughenour.
He married Marie Gloetzel on October 12, 1918 in Sutherland.
He was a sales representative for Columbian Feed Company and retired 16 years ago.
He served with the U.S. Army in WW I.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the American Legion Post of Spencer and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He lived in this area for the past 70 years.
Survivors include two sons, Allen A. Coughenour of Spencer and Marcus F. (Snuff) Coughenour of Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Orth of Orange, California; six grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Coughenour of Park Rapids, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, one son, one sister and one brother.
The Lightle Hayes Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
