Graveside services for Mrs. Della Adelia Chesley, 83, of San Diego, California, formerly of Spencer, were held Friday afternoon at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer. Pastor Harold Lovestrand officiated

Mrs. Chesley died Saturday, January 22 at San Diego

She was born February 3, 1893 to George and Grace Beaman Houts at Rock Rapids

On September 20, 1911, she was married to Earl Chesley at Spencer

She was a homemaker by occupation

Surviving are a son, Homer Chesley of Chula Vista, California; a daughter, Beulah Newman of Deming, New Mexico; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren

Also surviving are three sisters, Opal Newman of Santa Ana, California; Carol Taylor of Omaha, Nebraska and Pearl Wilson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband

Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
