August 22, 1995Luella Carstensen, 90, Milford, died August 22, 1995 at the Milford Care Center, Milford.
Funeral services will be held today at Warner Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating.
Casket Bearers; Martin Beving, Dean Schoning, Roger Heikens, Mike Schoning, Jay Schoning and Gary Koenig.
Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.
Luella Carstensen the daughter of Dooks and Elma Heikens Beving was born November 12, 1904 in Clay County. Her early education was received in rural schools. She graduated from Spencer High School and attended Iowa State Teacher's College. She taught school for 20 years in rural schools.
She married Johannes Carstensen on August 20, 1947 in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, the couple farmed near Dickens for a number of years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fostoria.
Mrs. Carstensen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by one brother, Eugene Beving of Dickens; one sister, Eunice Ebersole of Fostoria and several nieces and nephews.
