Mrs. Gladys Brigham, 80 of Hartley passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005 at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Funeral services are scheduled today, March 15 at United Methodist Church in Hartley. The Rev. Mike Willer will officiates the 11 a.m. service.

Burial in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Casket Bearers; Robert Schoorman, Gary Brigham, Lyle Haburn, Vernon Schoorman, Bruce Brigham and Harley Wahl.

Gladys May Brigham, the daughter of Ivan and Ella Allen Carr, was born May 2, 1924 in Fostoria. She received her early education and graduated from Milford High School.

On September 5, 1943, Gladys married to LeRoy Brigham in Spencer. Following their marriage, they farmed near Hartley until 1975.

Gladys was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Hartley, United Methodist Women and she was also active with the Ladies Federated Club.

In her spare time, Gladys enjoyed quilting, reading, playing cards, crocheting, bird watching and fishing with her husband. Her greatest love was her family, and supporting all her grandchildren's activities.

Mrs. Brigham was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Tanya Brigham and one brother, Allen Carr.

Gladys is survived by her husband, LeRoy Brigham of Hartley; one daughter and her husband, Carla and Timothy Fitzgerald of Panora; two sons and their wives, Donald and Barbara Brigham of Hartley and Dale and Linda Brigham of Spencer; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Hartley was in charge of arrangements.
