Funeral services for Arthur Duane Brigham, 74 of Everly, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Spencer. The Rev. David Nash officiated.

Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.

Mr. Brigham died Wednesday, October 30 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Casket Bearers; Donald Brigham, Vernon Schoorman, Lyle Haburn, Dale Brigham, Robert Schoorman, Galen Banks and Allan Banks.

Honorary Casket Bearers; Bert Brock, Ralph Fear, Jim Wilcox, Richard Kramer, Doug Gathman, Wayne Bishop and Larry Walton.

Mr. Brigham was born February 25, 1917 in Clay County to Henry and Minnie Anderson Brigham. He received his early education in rural schools in Clay County and graduated from Milford High School in 1935.

On February 25, 1940, he married Helen Banks in Spencer. Throughout much of their marriage, they lived in the Everly community, where Mr. Brigham farmed for 19 years. He later worked for the Clay County Road Department, as well working part time at Farmers Coop Elevator.

Mr. Brigham was a member of the First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Everly; two sons; Gary of Everly and Bruce and his wife Pat of Everly; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers; Harold of Marathon and LeRoy of Hartley; and one sister, Mrs. Miles (Esther) Haburn of Spirit Lake.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
