Martha Bohnenkamp, 74, Spencer, died Saturday, December 2, 1995 at the Marian Health Center in Sioux City.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Timothy Schott officiating.

Casket Bearers; Tony Bohnenkamp, Joel Bohnenkamp, Dick Bell, Matthew Bohnenkamp, Tim Bohnenkamp, Jerry Dunbar.

Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.

Martha (Bernie) Bohnenkamp, the daughter of Charles and Anna Smith Rauch, was born May 15, 1921 in Carroll. She received her early education in Carroll and later graduated from Auburn High School. She attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines and became an RN.

She married Amos Bohnenkamp on October 6, 1945 in Jefferson. Following their marriage, they lived in Jefferson and California before moving to Spencer in 1946.

She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, TTT BP, sustaining member, and was the school nurse and secretary over 30 years. At the time of her death, she was working at the Longhouse and Northshire Care Centers.

Mrs. Bohnenkamp was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Thomas Bohnenkamp of Aurelia, and James Bohnenkamp and his wife, Carol of West Des Moines; five grandchildren; four sisters, Sybilla Skarolid of Omaha, Nebraska; Caroline Rainbow of Sioux City; Rita Crosby of Omaha; and Betty Nixon of Pacific Grove, California; and one brother, Edward Eauch of Lytton.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.
