Funeral for Audrey Elizabeth Blanchfield, 66, of Spencer was held Friday afternoon from the Grace United Methodist Church of Spencer. The Rev. Kenneth Suetterlin officiated.

Burial was at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.

Bearers: L.H. Dotson, Charles Juza, Leland Chamberlain, Dale Dotson, Walter Kriens and Leo Hanson.

Honorary Bearers: James Jackson, Richard Gumz, Reed Lawson, Everett Dotson and Kenneth Kaus.

Mrs. Blanchfield died Wednesday, Decemeber 20 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

She was born April 21, 1912 to George and Minnie DuBois Freeman at Greenville.

She received her elementary education at Greenville and graduated from Gillet Grove High School.

On January 21, 1934, she was married to Bernard Blanchfield at Spencer.

After marriage, the couple lived near Gillett Grove for five years before moving to the Langdon area where she had live since.

She was a member of the Rural Women's Chorua, was township chairman in the Farm Bureau; was a 4-H leader many years and was a member of the Heart Fund Committee and Christmas Seal Committee.

She served two terms as president of the Langdon unit of the United Methodist Women where she was a life member. She served on the administrative board of the Langdon United Methodist Church, was chairman of the Council of Ministries and served as one of the Communion Stewards until 1977. She was head of the Local Activities Committee several years.

Survivors are her widower, Bernard of Spencer; a son, Russell Blanchfield of Spencer; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Floyd (Beulah) Phipps of Westbrook, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
