September 23, 1994Chris Edward Binder, 72, rural Spencer, died Friday, September 23, 1994 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 1994 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal with Pastor David Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.
Casket Bearers; Dean Brugman, Greg Toft, Harold Christensen, David Brugman, Gary Toft and Ron Englert.
Chris Edward Binder, the son of Jacob and Mary Koeliker Binder, was born on April 18, 1922 in Robinson, Kansas, where he received his early education.
He married Constance Hall on May 25, 1970 and was life long farmer in the Spencer and Royal areas.
While living in the Spencer area, he was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Royal and was a member of the Iowa Antique Car Club, for which he served two years as president. He was also a seed dealer for Payco Seed Company for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mable Thomas; one brother Daryl Dean Binder; and a sister in infancy.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Barbara Jean and Doug Groen, Apple Valley, Minnesota and Kathleen Ann and Ron Van Pelt, Spencer; two brothers, Norval, Linn Grove and Glen, Des Moines; one sister, Esther Binder Stine, Sherman Oaks, California; five grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Warner Funeral HOme of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
