Pearl Shatto Beving, 94, of Spencer, died Wednesday, March 17, 1993 at the Spencer Hospital.

Services were held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 20 at Warner Chapel in Spencer with the Rev. Robert W. Barrick officiating.

Pallbearers; Gary Koenig, David Beving, Mike Schoning, Jowl Schoning, James Beving, Kent Means, Deand Schoning and Jay Schoning.

Pearl, the daughter of David and Susan Henaman Shatto, was born July 28, 1898 in Sac County. Her family moved to Summitt Township, near Spencer, where she was a young child and it was there that she received her early education in country schools.

She married Joe Beving on September 20, 1920 in Spencer. Throughout their married life, they continued to live in Spencer. Following her husband's death in 1956, she worked for Town and Country Cafe and Center Cafe, until her retirement in 1974.

For the last 15 years, Pearl has lived in the Sunset Retirement Home in Spencer.

She was a member of the Langdon United Methodist Church. She was also a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family.

Mrs. Beving was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents; five sisters; Ada Lowe, Bell Lauck, Leota Snyder, Grace Myer and Ruth Peterson; seven brothers; Will, Luther, David, Glean, Lester, Ray and Kenneth Shatto; two son in laws; Dale Schoning and Robert Koenig.

She is survived by her three children; Margene Schoning and Bonnie Koenig, both of Spencer and Darrell Beving and his wife, Sandra of Dickens; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.

Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.

Warner Funeral Home, Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
