1986Funeral services for Chris Buhrman, 79, of Spencer, were 10:30 a.m., Monday at the First English Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Keith Kohlmeier officiated.
Casket Bearers: Rick Roghair, Orville Nagel, Dean Skinner, Randy Roghair, Tom Wakefield and Dale Buhrman.
Burial was at North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.
Mr. Buhrman died Thursday at his home.
The son of Ludwig and Katie Trojahn Buhrman was born December 28, 1906 near Royal. After receiving his education in Moneta country and town schools, he began farming in the Royal area.
He married Amanda Koep Schoelerman on February 20, 1935 in Spencer and they farmed in the Royal area until 1956, when they moved to Hartley. In 1959, they moved to Spencer.
Mr. Buhrman was a member and trustee of the First English Lutheran Church.
Mr. Buhrman retired in 1971 due to ill health, but continued to enjoy working outdoors and fishing.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, one infant brother, one infant sister and a step son, Harold.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Shirley Roghair of Royal; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; two step great granddaughters; one brother, Louis of Hartley; and two sisters, Sophie Boetel of Lake Park and Lula Smertenko of Minneapolis.
Warner Funeral Home, Spencer was in charge of the service arrangements.
