February 28, 1977Services for Rose R. Boatman,89, of Ames and formerly of the Spencer area were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames. The Rev. Henry T. Hackman and the Rev. James D Parrish officiated
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. at the North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer. the Rev. John Anderson of Ames officiated
Mrs. Boatman died Monday, February 28 in Ames
Mrs. Boatman was born January 17, 1888 at Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of Peter and Eva (Benson) Ringbloom. She received her teaching degree from Iowa State Teacher's College and also attended Iowa State University. She taught in serveral Iowa cities, including Everly.
She married Julien L. Boatman who precede her in death in November, 1966
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ames and the Order of Eastern Star
Survivors include two sisters, Selma Crockett of Lafayette, California and Florence Ball of North Hollywood, California
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Henry and Arthur Ringbloom and one sister, Mabel Birdsall in 1976
Adams Funeral Home of Ames was in charge of arrangements
