1984Thressa A. Bjerke, 77, of Spencer died Thursday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
The daughter of Tom and Annie Brackey. Mrs. Bjerke was born July 19, 1906 in Lake Mills. Her childhood years were spent in that community. She also received her early education from Lake Mills Schools. After schooling, she helped farm in that area before moving to Spencer in 1944.
Mrs. Bjerke married Wilbert Bjerke, November 15, 1958 in Jackson, Minnesota. They made their home in Spencer.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Marvin Spencer of San Diego, California and Erving Spencer of Portland, Oregon; one brother Helmer Brackey of Albert Lea, Minnesota; two sisters, Alma Greene of Keister, Minnesota and Henrietta Keegan of Britt; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Dale Hodges and the Rev. Lloyd Hodges will officiate.
Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.
Casket Bearers; Gary Jackson, Ernie Wellmering, Gene Luken, Wayne Ginger, Marv Harris, Francis Jackson.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
