1981Funeral services for Henry William Berberich, 80, of Royal will be held Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Royal. Fathers Thomas Munn, Gerald Lyon and N.J. Becker will officiate.
Burial in the North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.
Casket Bearers: Steve Galm, Terry Galm, Greg Erick, Mike Erick, Robbie Fahnlander and Brent Berberich.
The son of John and Anna (Herkert) Berberich. Berberich was born August 22, 1901 in Chatsworth, Illinois, where he received his early educaation before moving to Royal at the age of 12.
He married Mary Evelyn Huss on June 30, 1926 in Royal, where they lived their entire married life and Berberich farmed.
A member of the St. Louis Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Berberich had been a longtime member of the Royal School Board and was a director of the Home State Bank.
Berberich died Wednesday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Catherine Berberich Gross, Zita Berberich Gross and Marie Berberich Norman; one brother, John Anton Berberich; one infant daughter; two infant grandchildren; and one infant great grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Spencer; one son, John of Royal; four daughters, Joyce Galm of Royal, Janice Erick of rural Spencer, JoAnn Fahnlander of Royal and Jean Erickson of Eureka, California; 33 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
