September 6, 1987Mary W. Beck, 92, formerly of Spencer, died Sunday, September 6, 1987, at the We Care Haven in Hartley.
Funeral services will be held in the Warner Chapel on Wednesday, September 9, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Nathaniel C. Perry will officiate.
Casket Bearers; Raymond Schoning, Duane Schoning, Roy Beck, Virgil Schoning, Milo Myers, Jim Schoning and Robert Beck
Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer
Mrs. Beck, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Nagel) Schoning, was born July 14, 1895, in Clay County. Her childhood years were spent in Clay County where she received her early education.
On April 25, 1917, she married Henry Beck in Clay County. they farmed for many years near Spencer before retiring and moving to Spencer in 1950.
She was an excellent homemaker and always enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens.
Mrs. Beck moved to the We Care Haven in 1985.
Survivors include one son and his wife, Ralph and Dorothy Beck of Spencer; a daughter in law, Lillian Beck of Spencer, six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 30, 1968; one son Clarence; one grandson; four brothers and one sister.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
