1986Fred Carl Beck, 94, of Spencer died Saturday at Longhouse Residence, Spencer
Services for Mr. Beck will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Warner Chapel, Spencer with the Rev. J. Landon Williams officiating
Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetry
Casket Bearers: Clarence Beck, Dale Schoning, Duane Schoning, Ralph Beck, Milo Myers and Roy Beck
The son of Jacon and Mathilda (Dahms) Beck. Mr. Beck was born May 29, 1891 near Spencer and received his early education in country schools in the area
His first wife was Blanche Pease. The couple farmed in Iowa for many years, then they moved to Minnesota and finally to Spencer when they retired
After his wife's death, Mr. Beck married Ella Hammer on August 10, 1967 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He worked for several years as a produce man in the Swanson Grocery Store
Since the fall of 1981, Mr. Beck made his home in the Longhouse Residence. His second wife, Ella, died September 11, 1982
Mr. Beck was a longtime member of the First Christian Church, as well as a 50 year member of Evening Shade Lodge No. 312 A.F. and A.M. both in Spencer
Survivors include one brother, Gustav of Spencer; one sister, Florence Myers of Spencer; one stepson, Jack Anderson of Mason City; and four step grandsons
In additions to his two wives, Mr. Beck was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
