Clarence Henry Beck, 69, died suddenly on his farm in rural Spencer, Monday, July 27.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, July 30, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer with the Rev. Robert Cumings officiating.

Burial will be at the North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.

Casket Bearers; Jim Johanson, Albert Pullen, Don Fitzloff, Gus Krager, Walt Kriens and Charles Norgaard.

Mr. Beck, the son of Henry and Mary (Schoning) Beck, was born March 22, 1918 in Clay County. He received his early education in Clay County Rural Schools. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1935.

He married Lillian Bielfeldt on September 10, 1940 in Rock Rapids. Following their marriage, they farm in rural Spencer and have farmed on the same place for nearly 41 years.

While living in the Spencer area he had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge.

Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Lillian of rural Spencer; two daughers, Mrs. Paul (Patricia) Deiter and Nancy Dairy, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his mother, Mary Beck residing at We Care Haven in Hartley and one brother, Ralph Beck of rural Royal.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
