Services for Fred Gus Barglof, 86, of Spencer will be Wednesday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Mark Sullivan will officiate.

Burial will be at North Lawn.

Military services were conducted by Glen Pedersen Post No. 1, American Legion of Spencer.

Mr. Barglof died Sunday, June 10 at Longhouse Residence of Spencer.

Mr. Barglof, the son of Antone and Christine (Swanson), was born September 10, 1892 in Clay County.

He farmed before he entered the service and resumed farming after his discharge. Mr. Barglof farmed near Sioux Rapids and then near Greenville before retiring in 1958 and moving to Spencer.

Mr. Barglof was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion.

He was married to Ellen Pearl Parker on December 20, 1919 in Sioux Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen in 1977; two brothers; and four sisters.

Surviving Mr. Barglof are a son, Parker of Spencer; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ida Misner of Jansville, Wisconsin and a brother, Ervin of Linn Grove.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
