1983Funeral services for William A. Anderson, 78, 109 East Park Street, will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the First Congregational Church. The Rev. Dr. Patrick Shelley will officiate
Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery
Casket Bearers: Elmer Zinn, Francis Martin, Virgil (Bud) Johnson, Walter Williams, Lyle Mugge and R.J. Coverdale
William A. Anderson died Monday at the Scottsdale, Arizona Memorial Hospital
The son of Andrew and Anna (Johnson) Anderson, he was born February 19, 1905 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from high school there in 1924 and became involved in agriculture
He married Lola Henrich on March 11, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois and they lived in Chicago until 1948, when they moved to Los Angeles, California. They moved to Spencer in 1955, where Anderson was co-owner and manager of the Spencer Rendering Company. He retired in 1974, and they spent the winters in Texas, Florida and Arizona, maintaining a second home in Mesa
A member of the First Congregational Church. Anderson served on the Church Council and serveral other committees. He was also a member of the Golden K Kiwanis, the Moose and the Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Lola; two sons, Kenneth Anderso, Chicago, Illinois and Robert Anderson; four grandchildren; two brothers, Chester Anderson, Reseda, California and Lester Anderson, East Grand Forks, Minnesota; four sisters, Myrtle Packard, Sherman Oaks, California, Alice Smith, Burband, California, Mildred Bulkey, Thousands Oaks, California and Evelyn Kurt, North Hollywood, California
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother
The Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
