February 16, 1958Henry Anderson died unexpectedly at the Spencer Hospital, Sunday evening, February 16, 1958. He was 57 years old.
He was born in Spencer on October 6, 1900, the son of Andrew and Gusta Anderson and spent all his life as a citizen of this community.
Here in Spencer he earned his living as a mechanic, manufacturer and inventor. He was the holder of several patents.
On November 1, 1941, he married Leona Heilstedt in the First Christian Church.
Henry Anderson has been a member of the Christian Church for many years and served several terms as deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona Anderson; his son, Robert C. Anderson of Iowa City; and two grandchildren, Mark and Chris Anderson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Kershaw officiating.
Pallbearers; Glen Kahley, Harold Kabrick, Millard Rasmussen, Merrill Soloman, Glen Bensene, Ralph Brink.
Interment was at Riverside Cemetery.
