February 16,1958Tony Riepma was born July 22, 1901 at Orange City, Iowa and died at the Spencer Municipal Hospital on February 16 at the age of 56 years, six months and 24 days. He was the son of Jacob and Mary (VanderWell) Riepma.
He was married to Greta Oelrich on June 15, 1927 at Hull. to this union were born four children, one son and three daughters, who with their mother survive the husband and father.
They are Dr. Anthony Wayne Riepma of Ft. Hauchuca, Arizona; Gretchen Mary (Mrs. Dale Hewett of Fredricksburg, Grace Elaine (Mrs. Ted Maupin) of Monroe, Michigan and Sara Louise Riepma in college at Ames, one brother, two sisters and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Riepma was a livestock dealer for many years in this community. He was well liked and efficient in his work.
He was a member of the Methodist Church in Spencer.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 19 at 2 p.m. at the Warner Chapel with Rev. F.A. Smith officiating.
Pall bearers: Paul Dorman, Jim Williamson, Owen Cook, Mitchell Oelrich, August Oelrich and Lawrence Oelrich.
Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
