Emma Blanche Beck, 96, Spencer, passed away on June 14, 1998 at the Longhouse Residence in Spencer

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 1998 at Warner Chapel in Spencer with Pastor Tom Dettmer officiating

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Casket Bearers: Robert Logan, Wayne Kress, Robert Gibson, Vernon Hinkeldey, Milo Myers and Bud Myers.

Emma Blanche Beck, daughter of James and Anna (Enevoldsen) Rasmussen was born March 9, 1902 in Clay County. She spent her childhood in the Royal area and received her education by attending country schools in Clay County.

On September 19, 1919, she married Louie Beck in Spencer. Following their marriage, they made their home in Clay County where they farmed their entire married life.

She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Elizabeth Circle and the Harmony Club of Gillett Grove Township

Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren and three sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Vernetta Haaland and her husband, Russell of Rossie and Rhyllis Guthrie and her husband Edward of Milford; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
