Clara Mabel Case, 1903-1918

This community was saddened by the sudden change for worse and the demise of Miss Clara Case. She had been very ill of pneumonia but all reports were encouraging about her recover after her removal to the hospital to the hospital till Wednesday. Then an operation for appendicitis was imperative but the patient was too weak to undergo such a trial and she passed away Friday evening. She was a lovable girl and will be greatly missed by relatives and friends. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved parents, brothers and sisters in this their second affliction.

CLARA MABEL CASE DIED IN HOSPITAL FRIDAY

Miss Clara Mabel Case, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin Case, of Fostoria, passed away on Friday, April 12, 1918, at the Spencer hospital following a short illness.

Clara Mabel was born July 12, 1903, and was one of a family of eight children. Her death was not the result of a lingering illness but of a complication of diseases which caused her to linger but a few weeks after her first sickness and her sudden departure from her home of love and life have stricken the hearts of her parents and loved ones with an inconsolable grief, relieved only by the assurance of meeting her in the bright new earth where Jesus comes, for Clara while yet a child had confessed Christ as her Savior and obeyed him in the ordinance of baptism. She lived a life consistent with her profession and her happy loving and obedient disposition bore promise that her approaching womanhood would be a helpful acquisition to a world needing so much the lives of the good and the true, but for some reason which our Heavenly Father has not chosen to reveal death was permitted to bear this priceless treasure to his silent abode.

Clara Mabel leaves to mourn her untimely death a father, mother, two brothers and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. E. Glendeming were held from the Methodist church at Fostoria at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon after which the remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery in this city.
