Mary F. Barth, 04, of Spencer, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Warner Chapel, Spencer with the Rev. Phillip Hayes officiating

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer

Casket Bearers: Tom Gannon, Bill Gannon, Ron Zelinsky, Bob Gannon, Dick Gannon, Kirk Naber and Chet Young

Honorary Casket Bearers will be the Eagles Auxiliary and Aeries #2273

Mary F. Barth, the daughter of John and Catherine (VanAlstine) Lockey was born June 2, 1905 in Sutherland. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, where she received her education. She was bapitzed on August 5, 1906 at First Christian Church in Spencer

She married Max Barth on October 11, 1922 in Spencer. Following their marriage, they lived in Everly and later Spencer, where she worked as a waitress for the Eagles Club and the Woodcliff and also as and employee at Swift and Company for many years. She had most recently worked in the kitchen at the Eagles Club

Mrs. Barth was a member of the First Christian Church in Spencer, where she was active in Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Eagles and was active in the Eagle's Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers, one sister and two sons

She is survived by two daughters; Velma and her husband, Howard of Jackson, Minnesota; Shirley Thoreson of Spencer and her special friend, Glenn Somers of Milford; one sister, Fern Young and her husband, Chet of Chariton; one daughter in law, Hazel Barth of Langdon; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren;23 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and a special friend Mary Jane Bendlin on Spencer

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
