Ida Olive Iverson, 1900-1925

The death of Ida Olive Iverson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Iverson, occurred at the Spencer hospital on Monday evening, April 6, 1925, at nine o'clock. She had been in poor health for years and her death was due to inflammatory rheumatism.

Ida Olive was born on March 11, 1900, at Grinnell, Poweshiek county, Iowa. They came to Sioux Rapids where they lived for six years and for the past eleven years have been residents of Clay county, living in Riverton township, three and one-half miles northwest of Spencer. She attended the Sioux Rapids school but was obliged to quit when thirteen years of age and has since remained at home. On April 13, 1913, Miss Iverson was baptized and received in the Norwegian Lutheran church at Sioux Rapids.

In spite of her sufferings she was a young lady of pleasing personality and always tried to make the best of everything. Her untimely death brings sorrow to her parents, sisters, Mrs. Ole Bright of Montevideo, Minn., Mrs. Mabel Brown of Spencer, Hazel, and brother Lloyd at home and to her host of friends. Funeral services will be held at the home in Riverton township on Thursday afternoon two o'clock. Rev. O.C. Geisler will conduct the service and burial will be make in Riverside cemetery.
