Mary Rozetta Hart was born at Spencer, Iowa, March 3, 1900, and passed away Tuesday, April 1, 1925, at 10:15 o'clock at the state hospital in Cherokee at the age of 25 years, 1 month and 4 days. Her death was caused by a general breakdown as she had always been strong and healthy until she was taken ill the early part of December and continued to fall rapidly until death came as a release from her suffering.
God's ways are not our way and so we bow to His will hopeless of understanding, but we look for a glad tomorrow when we will meet our precious loved ones again. She attended the public school of Spencer to the eleventh grade. She was a good girl and great lover of children. She was a member of the Methodist church and was always faithful in attendance until her health failed.
She leaves to mourn her death her aged father, Peter J. Hart, two sisters, Miss Alta Hart and Mrs. Ruth Dornburg, a niece, Joybelle Dornburg and little Billy all of Spencer. Rose had helped care for Billy since he was five months old.
Her mother preceded her in death two years ago and Rose will be laid to rest by her side in Riverside cemetery. Funeral services conducted by Rev. T.B. Collins, pastor of Grace M.E. church will be held Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the chapel of the Cobb funeral home. Pall bearers, all of whom are members of the Sons of Veterans are Roy Green, L.W. Green, Fred Green, Roy Frad, Frank O'Brien and F.J. Hirleman.
