LuVern Richter, 77, Peterson, died Friday, April 9, 1999 at his home

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 12, 1999 at the Bethel Lutheran Church , Sutherland with the Rev. LeRoy Riemer officiating

Casket Bearers: Travis Richter, Bryce Richter, Norm Gunnerson, Heath Richter, Seth Richter and John Krogman

Burial will be held at the Oakland Cemetery, Peterson

LuVern Phillip Richter, the son of Paul and Mary (Ahles) Richter, was born January 26, 1922 in Granville before entering the United States Army serving during World War II

On December 5, 1943, LuVern married June Proehl in Paullina. He became a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland and a 50 year member of the American Legion

He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Sheila Pickering, and one infant son, Brandon Richter

Mr Richter is survived by his wife June of Peterson, two daughters, Carol Hill and her husband, Jim of Coarsegold, California and Sandi Gunnerson and her husband, Terry of Peterson, two sons, Brad Richter and his wife, Shirley of Spirit Lake and Gordon Richter and his wife, Lori of Peterson, three brothers, Lawrence Richter and his wife, Elsbeth of Lime Springs, Leonard Richter and his wife, Ardell of Paullina and Melvin Richter and his wife, Dolores of Primghar, two sisters, Helen Hansen of Waterloo and Delores Benner and her husband, Harry of Las Vegas, Nevada, eight grandchildren and six grandchildren

The Warner Funeral Home of Peterson was in charge of arrangements
