Donald Kilpatrick, 91, Spencer, died Friday, March 26, 1999, at St. Luke Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will he held today at 10:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Paul Hansen officiating

Masonic services were conducted by Evening Shade Lodge #319 A.F. and A.M. of Spencer on Monday evening.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Spencer.

Donald Arthur Kilpatrick , the son of John and Edith Arthur Kilpatrick, was born on May 20, 1907 in Spencer. He received his education in Clay County and later graduated from Spencer High School in 1924.

On June 29, 1938, he married Lenora Nicolaisen in Spencer. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the Spencer area where Donald farmed his entire life. He retired in 1979.

While living in the Spencer area, he was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, a past member of Farm Bureau, the Evening Shade Lodge #312 A.F. and A.M. and for many years was the swine clerk at the Clay County Fair.

Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one great-granddaughter, one brother, two sisters and a twin sister.

He is survived by two sons, Kent Kilpatrick and his wife, Lanette: and Gary Kilpatrick and his wife, Dee, all of Spencer; one daughter, Karen Coffey of Indianola, six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Delores Kilpatrick.

Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
