Eddie Wilson, 71, Dickens, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999 at Spencer Municipal Hospital

Funeral services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Spencer, with the Rev. David Doraisingh officiating

Military services will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1 American Legion

Casket Bearers: Wayne Wilson, Don Hoffman, Duane Gustin, Clayton Rusk, Melvin Whalen, Norvin Olson

Burial will be at Dickens Cemetery

Eddie O. Wilson, the son of Roy I. and Katie (Johansen) Wilson, was born on May 3, 1927, on a farm near Dickens. He was raised on a farm south of Dickens, where he received his early education in country schools. He later attended and graduated from Gillett Grove High School.

Following his schooling he enlisted in the U.S. Army on November 15, 1950 and served until his discharge on October 30, 1952.

He married Doris Rukes on July 13, 1951 in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage the couple farmed for many years on their farm south of Dickens. Following their divorce, Mr. Wilson married Helen O'Brien on January 24, 1986 in Dickens.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dickens

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Dickens; ine son, Eddie J. Wilson, one daughter, Jolene Hart and her husband, Sterling of Webb, his former daughter-in-law, Dianne Adams and her husband, John of Sioux City, five grandchildren, Stephanie Adams and Betsy Adams of Sioux City and Kelly, Keven and Kyle Hart, all of Webb, one brother, Donald Wilson and his wife, Stella of Dickens, His step-children and step-grandchildren

The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
