Alice Mae VonHoldt, 58 of Spencer passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2003.

Funeral services will be held on today at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Charles Schoeninger will officiate at the 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Casket Bearers; Frank Jones, Heath Hoch, Bobby Jones, Marvin Smith, Kevin Brown, Matt Smith, Doug Shatto and James Lau

Alice Mae (Stevenson) VonHoldt the daughter of James and Mary (Cenek) Stevenson was born on November 21, 1944 in Estherville. She attended Spencer Community Schools until the 11th grade. Alice worked with her mother at an early age at Russell's Cafe. She then worked at A&M Laundry for eleven years.

On March 13, 1965, Alice married Ronald Fay VonHoldt in Spencer. Alice and Ron moved to Ayrshire where they lived for two years before returning to Spencer. Alice worked at the Grand Tap in Spencer for nine years. She did some babysitting throughout her years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald on April 4, 2003; her parents; her sister, Delores (Stevenson) Brown and an infant granddaughter, Nicole.

Alice is survived by her children; Ronald Dean and his wife Becky of Fairmont, Minnesota and Angie VonHoldt of Custer, South Dakota; six brothers; Bill Stevenson and his wife Ardyce of Spencer, Donnie Stevenson and his wife Rhoda of Sioux City, Cleatus Stevenson and his wife Gerry of Ashland, Montana, Irvin Stevenson and his wife Marilyn of Spencer, Gerald Stevenson and Fran Stevenson and his wife, Stacia of Sioux City; one sister, Geraldine Christoffer and her husband Fred of Shelbyville, Missouri; four grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Ray Brown of Spencer, many nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends
