Accidentally Killed

Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Lachner of Wilkie, Sask., Canada, arrived in Spencer Saturday afternoon with the remains of their son William. Funeral services conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond were held from the James Ashburn home Sunday afternoon, May 17, at two o'clock and the remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery.

William Harold Lachner was born at Maryville, Mo., April 7, 1899. He was accidentally shot on Tuesday May 12, 1914. It was a very sad accident. He was a fine young lad and his heart broken parents have the deep sympathy by all in their loss. Mrs. Lachner was formerly Miss Edith Ashburn of this place.
