Fred Ruge of Filer, Idaho, a former resident of Everly, passed away Sunday morning at his home following an illness of several years. At the time of his death he was 63 years old.
The body was brought to Everly this Thursday morning and funeral services were held this afternoon at the Lutheran church. Rev. Sitzinger, pastor, had charge. Burial was made in the Lone Tree cemetery. Mrs. Ruge accompanied the body to Everly.
Mr. Ruge was born in Walcott, Iowa, July 9, 1867, and lived there until he was 12 years of age. At that time he moved to Dysart, Iowa, where he lived for several years. July 4, 1906 at Dysart, he was married to Mrs. Howard. After their marriage they took a trip to Texas and from there came direct to Everly, where they lived until two years ago. For that past two years they had been living at Filer, Idaho.
He is survived by his wife, four children, Arlene, Myrna, Wilda and James Ruge of Filer, also two step children, Walter Howard and Mrs. Letha Fay of Filer; three brothers, Dr. Will Ruge of Gabley, Ia., Ernest Ruge of Cedar Rapids, Rudolph Ruge of Dysart, a sister, Mrs. Julius Lammers and many other relatives and friends.
