MRS. ERNEST N. SCHONING

Death removed from the community east of Fostoria Monday, June 12, Mrs. Ernest N. Schoning, 31, heart trouble and apoplexy following failing health since early spring being the causes of her untimely passing. She was the mother of four children, Helen Mildred, Dale Ernest, Virgel Frank, and Duane Russel, who with her husband survive her.

The chapel room at the Cobb funeral home where services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock was filled with the many friends and acquaintances of the deceased. Rev. B.J. Trickey, pastor of the Congregational church, Spencer, delivered the memorial sermon. Burial was in Riverside cemetery with five brothers of Mrs. Schoning, Fred, Gustav, Henry, George and Louis Beck, and Elvin Meyers acting as casket bearers.

Native of Clay County

Edith M. Beck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Beck, was born June 19, 1902, near Spencer. Her education was received in the schools of the county, and in the year 1913 she was united in marriage with Ernest N. Schoning, also of Spencer. They located on a farm in Meadow township which has since been the family home.

Other relatives surviving are her mother, Mrs. Jacob Beck, and sisters and brothers: Mrs. H.A. Van Schravendyck of Hope, Idaho, Mrs. James Coffman, Jr., of Lacon, Ill., Fred C. Beck of Elk River, Minn., Mrs H. Sonius, Mrs. Elmer Myers, George, Henry, Gusta and Louis, all of this vicinity. Her father and a brother, Ernest, preceded her in death.
