PIONEER RESIDENT OF COUNTY DIES

ALVIN SANDERSON LIVED NEAR WEBB FOR 65 YEARS; FUNERAL FRIDAY

Alvin Sanderson, a resident of Webb and vicinity for the past 65 years died this Wednesday morning at one o'clock at his home near Webb following an illness of several weeks. His death was caused from complications and at that time he was 73 years of age.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock in the Methodist church in Webb. Burial will be made in Garfield cemetery, near Webb.

Mr. Sanderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Sanderson, was born near Oshkosh, Wisconsin, August 16, 1856. He remained there until he was eight years of age and at that time moved with his parents to a farm between Webb and Sioux Rapids, where he remained until his marriage to Ada McClay in 1880.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Sanderson moved to a farm near Webb, where he had since lived. Mrs. Sanderson preceded her husband in death 15 years ago. He was also preceded in death by five children, Frankie, who died in 1902 and four who died in infancy.

He is survived by two sons, Roy and Bert Sanderson of Webb, three grandchildren, Floyd, Lloyd and Orda Sanderson and one great grandchild, Lavonne of Webb besides a large number of friends.

FOUR TO SHARE IN SANDERSON WILL

Four persons are named beneficiaries in the will of the late A. Sanderson, who died at his home in Herdland township, Wednesday, December 4, it was revealed Monday when the instrument was filed for probate.

Leaving a $10,000 policy in the Equitable Life Insurance company, Mr. Sanderson directed that it should be shared equally by his grandchildren, Lloyd H. Sanderson and Orda B. Sanderson, together with his son, Roy. He directed further that any money left or personal property, including horses, cattle, hogs or farm machinery, should be divided among his children and grandchildren, decreeing that his son Bert, should receive one-fifth, Roy, two-fifths, and the two grandchildren one-fifth each.

Other property owned by Mr. Sanderson had been divided between the sons before his death. The will was made December 31, 1926, and was witnessed by Axel Olof Rustan and Frank L. Gowere.
