His is the first death in the family of his parents, five brothers and five sisters, all of whom were at his bedside in his last illness and when the end came. His brothers and sisters are as follows: Mrs. Marie Sonius, Everly, Iowa; Mrs. Augusta Van Scovendyk, Hope, Idaho; George Beck, Spencer, Iowa; Mrs. Etta Coffman, Lacon, Illinois; Fred, Henry, Guston, Louis, Edith and Florence at home.
