Funeral services for Lois Jane Bond, 42, of Hastings, Minnesota formerly of Webb, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, Spencer.

Mrs. Bond died Friday in an automobile accident.

The Rev. William Strom will officiate at the services for Mrs Bond and burial will be at Dickens Cemetery

Casket Bearers: Russell Essick, Roger Johnson, Dan Smith, Ray Essick, Chad Smith and Mike Peterson, Jim Smith and A.C. Smith Jr. will be the Honorary Bearers

The daughter of Melvin and Almeda (Jones) Smith, Mrs. Bond was born June 22, 1944 in Spencer. She moved to Webb at an early age, where she graduated from high school in 1962. In high school, she participated in basketball and music. After graduation she worked Jackson Drug and Triangle Cafe both in Jackson, Minnesota.

She married Richard Bond, January 19, 1963 in Jackson, Minnesota. After their marriage they continued to live in Jackson, until moving to Hastings in 1965.

For the last 16 years, Mrs. Bond worked for an optometrist, Dr. C.D. Hill in Hastings.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Hastings and helped with her husband's political career on the Hastings City Council.

Mrs Bond was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Karen and Steven, both at home; her mother, Almeda Smith of Webb; five brothers, Charles of Plymouth, California, Clyde of Kansas City, Missouri, Alan of Webb, Arthur of Bonner Springs, Kansas and Stan of Rithven; and two sisters,s Ardis Erickson of Peterson and Delores Klatt of Barrett, Minnesota.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of service arrangements
