September 5, 1986Maude Adams, 102, of Spencer, died Saturday at the St. Luke Lutheran Home of Spencer.
Graveside services were 10 a.m. Monday at North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer. The services were conducted by Evening Shade Chapter No. 116.
The daughter of James and Esther Ann (Roby) Dunaway. Mrs. Adams was born February 5, 1884 in Rockwell City. She attended school in Rockwell City and later lived in Nebraska, Colorado and South Dakota before moving to Spencer in 1945.
She married Earl Adams in Omaha, Nebraska and worked as a saleslady for the Davies Department Store.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer and was a 50 year member of OES.
She moved to the St. Luke Lutheran Home in 1980.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband; one son Virgil; seven sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two daughter, Ferne Rasmussen and Faye Madsen, both of Spencer and three grandchildern.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.
