Services for Dr. Dale Sanford Adams, 68, of Webb, will be held Saturday at 1:30p.m., in the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Bob Cumings will officiate with burial in Northlawn Cemetery.

Casket Bearers; Paul Wellnitz, Noel Rust, Gerald Hart, B.W. Boese, Vernon Walsh and Wayne Hopkins.

Adams, the son of A.A. and Grace (Sanford) Adams, was born June 15, 1912 in Gifford. He graduated from the Greenville Schools in 1929 and received his degree ub veterinary medicine from Iowa State College in 1939

He married Grace Welle on January 7, 1939 in Princeton, Missouri and following their marriage, began his practice in Webb.

Adams was a veteran of World War II, serving in the military from December 16, 1942 to February 6, 1946.

Following his military service, he returned to Webb, where he continued to practice veterinary medicine until 1964. Adams then serves as a state veterinarian until 1977.

A member of the Masonic Lodge of Webb and the Shrine, Adams was past president of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association. He also served on the Webb and Clay County School Boards.

After the death of his first wife in 1972, he married Mary Dickinson on September 24, 1972 in Spencer.

Adams died Wednesday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Grace, on February 27, 1972l and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Webb; one son, Dennis of Webb; one daughter, Helen Altenburg of Spencer; one stepson, Richard Bauman of Dallas, Texas; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Diana Baggett of St. Louis, Missouri and Mrs. Deborah Tague of Plainview, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jean Radebaugh of Towson, Maryland; on three brothers, Don of Fontana, California, Dean of Winter, Wisconsin and Kent of Kent, Washington.

The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
