Isaac Woodford, well known resident of Webb, Iowa, 61 years of age, passed away Saturday morning, July 4, 1931, at the Spencer hospital, following an operation for acute appendicitis.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two 0'clock at the Methodist church in Webb with Rev. Arthur Bottom, pastor of the church, in charge. Six nephews acted as pallbearers, and interment was made in the Garfield cemetery.

Isaac Woodford, son of George and Mary Woodford, was born in Nobles County, Ohio, October 12, 1869. When he was about five years of age his parents moved to Warren county, Iowa. Here he grew to young manhood and was united in marriage November 27, 1890, to Lottie Pugh of Norwalk, Warren County, Iowa. They resided in Warren county for a number of years and made their home for two years in Des Moines. In 1908 they moved to Webb. To this union seven children were born, Arthur of Webb, Hugh of Wota, North Dakota, Mrs. May Anderson of Ayrshire, and Harold, Emil, Evelyn and Frank all of Webb.

When residing at Norwalk, Iowa, Mr. Woodford became a member of the Christian church in 1903, and also was affiliated with the Order of the Knights of Kamelia. He was a kind and considerate husband and father and a good example in character and life. The community of Webb will remember him as a good citizen and friend.

Beside his wife and family, he is survived by seven grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Frank Essie of Emmetsburg, and three brothers, Manson of Norwalk, Frank of Des Moines and Andrew of Callender.
