Peterson Druggist Succumbs to Heat at Home July 4

Walter Runger, 52 years, well known druggist of Peterson, where he had made his home for the past twenty-one years, died Saturday, July 4, 1931, at his home following a week of illness caused from the intense summer heat. Death resulted from heart trouble.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, two o'clock, at the home with Rev. McGinnis, pastor of the Congregational church of Peterson, conducting the services. Members of the Order of the Masonic lodge had charge of the last rites at the grave.

Mr. Runge was a prominent citizen of Peterson where he had been an active member of a number of local organizations. He was secretary of the school board, and a member of the Shrine, Consistory No. 5, and the Blue Lodge of Peterson.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Carl, who is a senior student of pharmacy at the University of Iowa, another son, John Frederick, who graduated this year from Kemper Military school at Boonville, Missouri, daughter, Jean, and a sister, Mrs. G.C. Webb of Wisconsin.
