Wilhemina A. Grambow was born in Brandenburg, Germany, Nov. 29, 1840. She came to Dodge county, Wisconsin, in May 1862, where she was married to A.B. Bergeman December 13, 1865. The following April she came with her husband to Hardin county, Iowa, driving in an open lumber wagon across trackless prairies from Davenport. She remained at Ackley until 1893 when the family came to Clay county settling on a farm ten miles northwest of Spencer. In 1911 she came to her home on west 4th street in this city where she died.
She had been a member of the Evangelical church for many years and has one son now in the ministry of that organization. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, three sons and three daughters, C.A. Bergeman, J.N. Bergeman, Mrs. Harry Heikens, Miss Louise and Miss Magdaline of this city, and Rev. G.L. Bergeman of Radcliffe, Iowa.
The funeral is to be held this afternoon from the home, the services to be conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond assisted by Rev. Beckman of Hartley, and the interment will be in Riverside cemetery.
