The remains of Mrs. Elizabeth Arnett, a former Spencer resident, who died at her home at Neponset, Illinois, on Saturday, August 28, 1920, were brought to this city for burial, arriving here Tuesday morning. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. Merle Adams, of the Congregational church, were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Roy L. Cobb chapel and burial was made in Riverside cemetery by the side of her husband who died in 1907.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Manchester, was born in Fulford, England, on March 6, 1840. She came to this country in 1866 and the same year was united in marriage to Mr. William Arnett. Four children were born to this union, Thomas Arnett of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Thomas Brown of Neponset, Illinois, William Arnett of Marcedes, Texas, and John Arnett of Benson, Minnesota.

Mrs. Arnett lived all but three years of her life at Neponset, that time being spent at Spencer. She was a member of the Congregational church and was a woman of marked kindness of heart. She was good friends, neighbor and devoted mother. The sympathy of this community is extended to her children in this, their sad hour of bereavement. Those in attendance at the funeral from away were Mrs. Brown of Neponset, Illinois, John Arnett of Benson, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Arnett of Spirit Lake.
