July 12, 2004Clarence Edward Anderson, 91, of Webb, passed away, Monday, July 12, 2004 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.
Funeral services will be held today, July 15 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Webb.
Rev. Moody Colorado officiates the 10:30 a.m. service.
Burial is in the Garfield Cemetery, Webb
Casket Bearers: Zachary Rust, John Anderson, Laura Rust, Benjamin Anderson, Belinda Rust and Charles Anderson.
Clarence Edward Anderson, the son of Charles E. and Carrie Belle (Coddington) Anderson, was born March 5, 1913 in Nemaha.
Clarence came to Webb on a train as a baby with his mother after his father and uncle purchased a farm east of Webb. He received his early education and graduated from Garfield High School in 1931.
On March 10, 1938, he married Vera Elizabeth Woodford in Spencer. Following their marriage they lived near Webb, where they farmed for more than 45 years. In 1975, they moved into Webb, and Clarence helped his son-in-law on the farm until age 80.
While living in Webb, Clarence was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Vera on September 21, 1999; his parents; one brother, Lester; and his uncle, August.
Clarence is survived by one son and his wife: Richard and Louise Anderson of Yankton, South Dakota; one daughter and her husband, Linda and Robert Rust of Webb, 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
